Brûlé-Wendats Expedition

Glenn will be a part of the three-day Brûlé-Wendats Expedition, organized by the Société d'histoire de Toronto to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Étienne Brûlé's trip down the Carrying Place. Here are the major events:

Friday, September 11

2.00 PM Welcoming Ceremony at Couchiching Beach Park, 140 Canice Street, Orillia

7.00 PM "Meet the voyageurs" at Orillia Museum of Art and History, 30 Peter Street South, Orillia (Glenn will be speaking on "Hiking the trail" and Glenn's book will be on sale)

Saturday, September 12

9.00 AM Plaque unveiling at Nokiida Trail, 845 Green Lane, East Gwillimbury

10.00 AM Cedar tea ceremony with Athol Hart, Nokiida Trail, Newmarket

11.00 AM Crest ceremony at Newmarket Farmers' Market, Riverwalk Commons, 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket

12.45 PM Welcome at Aurora Armoury, 138 Larmont Street, Aurora

4.15 PM Plaque unveiling with King Councillor Schaefer at Weston Road and 16th Sideroad

Sunday, September 13

8.45 AM Aboriginal ceremony with Elder Garry Sault at McMichael Canadian Art Collection, 10365 Islington Avenue, Kleinburg

1.30 PM Welcome at Cruikshank Park, 2196 Weston Road, Weston

4.30 PM Welcome at Swansea 8000 years, Lucy Maud Montgomery park, 222 Riverside Drive, Toronto (Glenn's book will be on sale)
